Terms and conditions

Gift Cards:

  • Validity: The gift card is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
  • Usage: Can be redeemed online, for both products and workshop bookings. (Note: This card cannot be used towards bespoke or custom-made jewellery designs.)
  • Partial Redemption: If the full value of the gift card is not used in one purchase, the remaining balance will be available for future use.
  • Non-refundable: The card cannot be exchanged for cash or used to purchase other gift cards, even in cases of partial redemption. Any remaining balance should continue to be stored on the card and used in future transactions.
  • Legal Compliance: In accordance with Danish law, the gift card must be used within the validity period, and any remaining balance will expire at the end of this period.

Workshop Terms & Conditions: Wax carving:

Terminology:

  • Workshop: The type of workshop in question, e.g., wax carving or jewellery making.
  • Participant: The individual registering and attending the workshop.

Booking Process and Payments:

  • Participants: The workshop is only available for individuals aged 18 and over, due to the use of sharp tools.
    • Each workshop is open to individuals, if you require a group booking of 6+ you can request a private booking via email to lilyreadjewellery@gmail.com
    • Maximum number of 8 participants based on the capacity of the studio
  • Content: The purchase of a workshop is specific to the workshop in question (e.g., wax carving) and cannot be exchanged for another workshop or date.
  • Booking Confirmation: Your booking is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment, after which you will receive an automatic confirmation email from the webshop. Spots are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Rescheduling Policy:

  • Rescheduling: The possibility of rescheduling a workshop is subject to availability and a fee of 70DKK due to administrative and processing costs. 

Cancellations/Refunds:

When cancelling a workshop, an administration fee of 70 DKK will be withheld in any case, to cover the expenses of receiving payments.

  • Replacement: If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your booking to someone else. Please notify Lily Read Jewellery of the replacement participant’s details in advance.
  • Cancellation by Lily Read Jewellery: In the event of cancellation due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, participants will be offered either the chance to reschedule or receive a full refund.
  • Force Majeure Clause: Neither Lily Read Jewellery nor the participant will be liable for non-performance of the workshop due to events outside of their control, such as pandemics, natural disasters, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Cancellation by Participant:

  • More Than 30 Days Before the Workshop: 100% of the workshop fee will be refunded, minus an administration fee of 70 DKK to cover payment processing costs.
  • 14-30 Days Before the Workshop: 75% of the workshop fee will be refunded, minus the 70 DKK administration fee.
  • 7-14 Days Before the Workshop: 50% of the workshop fee will be refunded, minus the 70 DKK administration fee.
  • Less Than 7 Days Before the Workshop: No refund will be provided. Rescheduling may be offered on a case-by-case basis, subject to availability, but is not guaranteed.

Included in the Total Workshop Fee:

  • Use of all tools.
  • Up to 1g of wax, which refers to the final weight after the carving is complete.
  • Silver casting of your wax model (for 'Session + Silver Casting' type tickets)
  • Polishing of the completed item.

Not Included in the Workshop Fee:

  • Wax above 1g (priced accordingly for additional 0.1g, which can be purchased on the day).
  • Postage fees (if applicable, see ‘Return of Your Cast Item’ section below).

Return of Your Cast Item:

  • Completion Timeframe: Your item will be cast, polished, and ready for collection or postage within approximately 3-4 weeks after the workshop (excluding weekends and public holidays). Please allow additional time during busy seasons such as Christmas.
  • Notification: Once your item is ready, you will receive an email with instructions on how to arrange collection or delivery.
  • Collection: You can schedule a day and time to collect your item from Lily Read Jewellery’s studio, by appointment only. Please note that collections are strictly by appointment and cannot be made outside the agreed time.
  • Postage: If you prefer to have your item mailed, an additional cost of 120DKK applies for tracked and recorded delivery to your selected address. You will be provided with a tracking number.
  • Liability for Postage: Lily Read Jewellery is not responsible for any loss, damage, or delays caused during shipping once the item has been dispatched.

Workshop Details and Requirements:

  • Language: All workshops are conducted in English.
  • Breaks: There will be a 15-minute break during the workshop. Complimentary tea, coffee, and water are provided, but participants are responsible for bringing their own refreshments if they have specific dietary requirements.
  • Participant Responsibilities: Participants are responsible for their own safety and must follow all health and safety guidelines provided by the instructor.

Minimum Age Requirement:

  • The minimum age for participants is 18 years.

Health and Safety:

  • Health and Safety Guidelines: All participants are responsible for their own safety during the workshop. Participants must follow all instructions given by the instructor. By attending the workshop, participants acknowledge and accept any inherent risks associated with the activity.
  • Medical Conditions: It is recommended that participants inform Lily Read Jewellery of any medical conditions or physical limitations that could impact their participation in the workshop. Lily Read Jewellery will not be liable for any issues arising from undisclosed medical conditions.

Workshop Terms:

  • Late Arrival Policy: Workshops will start at the scheduled time, and participants are expected to arrive 15 minutes early to be seated and ready to begin. Late arrivals will not be allowed entry for safety reasons, and no refund will be issued for missed workshops due to late arrival.
  • Workshop Conduct: Participants are expected to act respectfully towards the instructor and other participants. Disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the workshop without a refund. Lily Read Jewellery reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any participant for disrespectful or disruptive behaviour.

Data Protection and Privacy:

  • Data Collection: The personal data collected (name, email, and address) will be used solely for processing your booking and returning your finished workshop items.
  • Consent for Communication: Participants will be given the option to consent to or opt-out of receiving future communications from Lily Read Jewellery at the time of the workshop.
  • Third-Party Sharing: Personal data may be shared with third-party services only for necessary purposes, such as payment processing or delivery services.
